Many of us don't spend much time looking above us. However, no matter where we are, the breathtaking beauty of nature awaits us if we only turn our heads up to the sky. In a world where we are so often required to pay for our experiences, the sky offers us a priceless luxury at no cost. In this blog post, I will explain why one of nature's greatest free luxuries deserves endless appreciation.

The most noteworthy objects in the sky are the sun and the moon. They greatly affect how the sky looks during the day and night! During dawn, the sky gradually transitions from midnight blue to sky blue. At sunset, the sky looks magnificent with its orange and purple hues. After sunrise, the sky appears more blue, and the sun turns bright yellow. Many types of birds can be seen flying around. The various kinds of clouds
make the sky look even more spectacular. The clouds are usually white and can be compared to floating cotton candies; they keep moving with the wind, which looks amazing! The sky looks brightest at noon when the sun is directly overhead. The intensity of the sun's heat and brightness gradually diminishes in the afternoon. The sky looks stunning as the sun sets, adorned with a beautiful gown of crimson red, orange, and dark purple. Birds can be seen returning to their homes at that time. After sunset, the sky's colour changes drastically within a short time, transitioning from ashen blue to dark blue to black very soon. As the night deepens, the sky's colour intensifies and remains the same until dawn. There are nights when the sky is full of clouds, giving it a greyish hue. Regularly, the sky looks magnificent from evening to night, with the moon and stars shining brightly. There are various astonishing objects in the night sky. Despite being planets, Venus and Jupiter are a few of the brightest objects that can be seen with the naked eye. Mars can be seen from dusk till dawn! Mercury can occasionally be visible too. Another astonishing fact: Earth, the entire solar system, and even the Milky Way galaxy are moving at great speed; the stars we see in the night sky also appear to be moving as time passes. Meteor showers and Aurora lights are incredible natural occurrences that further enhance the sky's beauty. Solar and lunar eclipses are extraordinary astronomical events that make the sky look sensational.

The sky looks different from season to season. On summer days, the sky is usually very bright, with the sun shining high. During the monsoon season, the sky is filled with light grey to very dark grey and almost black clouds. I believe that autumn and late autumn offer the best version of the sky, adorned with a very blue hue and white clouds. Winter makes the sky look ashen, while spring also presents a beautifully bright sky. In all seasons, nature wears different types of garments, which is why the experience of viewing the sky also changes. One of the most remarkable phenomena of the sky is the formation of a rainbow. It is so beautiful that observers can forget everything else while witnessing this rare incident. However, the usually jolly-looking sky can appear frightening during natural calamities.
For example, during heavy rain, cyclones, and hailstorms, the sky looks very scary, and even the animals rush to their homes.

The experience of looking at the sky varies from place to place. Usually, city dwellers suffer in this regard. Due to light pollution and tall buildings, the sky can't be fully appreciated, sadly. However, as the sky stretches across the world, it can still be seen. Seeing twinkling stars from a rooftop is an experience that cannot be adequately described in words. Villagers can gaze at the sky at any time of the day and feel a surreal connection; the natural beauty enhances this experience even more. Looking at the sky from less crowded rural areas or any tourist spots is an experience of a lifetime.

The sky is a marvellous creation of the Almighty. Some people pursue sky photography as a profession, waiting day after day for the perfect shots. Others take pictures of the sky as a hobby. My friends and I also engage in this hobby! Gazing at the sky is peaceful at any time; it also improves our mood. Many writers and painters take inspiration from the sky for their work. Sometimes, my family and I stargaze at night. The sky is splendid, but we don't appreciate it enough. It is a wonderful gift from Mother Nature that we can all see free of any cost. Truth be told, the immense beauty of the sky can never be measured in terms of money. This is why I believe the sky is the most easily accessible priceless free-of-cost luxury.
