In today's digitally driven world, computer programming plays a significant role in the modernization of the world by creating groundbreaking software and technologies and helping in the development of the modern computer. Programming makes it easy for everyone to enhance communication in various fields like business, education, healthcare, entertainment, etc. Undoubtedly, its importance is immense in our daily lives. From developing new technologies to artificial intelligence algorithms, programming makes numerous aspects of our lives more comfortable. Gone are the days when we struggled to communicate, as computers have made the world a global village. According to a report, the percentage of cell phone users and app usage has significantly increased, ultimately paving the way for the employment of programmers. Along with developing algorithms to scrutinize and store data, it also assists by automating repetitive tasks, and thus, helps in lowering energy usage and saving time.

Computer programming is undoubtedly an elite option to undertake as a major. I have selected this subject as my major for better career prospects as well as to learn to code because it seems fun; nevertheless, my institution has helped me to love and be serious about my subject and gain more skills; hence, I could transform into a more skilled and confident programmer. Programming is nothing but a means of communication between human beings and computers that utilizes symbols to give instructions for making a computer perform a specific task because computers understand binary language only, which is a set of 1's and 0's code organized in such a way that the computer can read, understand, process, perform and solve the problems or tasks given to it by human beings. I have been creative-minded since childhood, so selecting computer programming as a major enables me to explore the virtual world. One of the most thrilling and inspiring aspects of programming is that it creates a positive impact on society by developing apps to improve the treatment of patients or making educational resources available online; it has a lot of other advantages. Moreover, it promotes connectivity and productivity, which facilitates overcoming the obstacles of long-distance relationships and communication between different nations.

 

Furthermore, this field provides abundant job opportunities with lucrative salaries and allows one to work remotely. It has various sectors, including game development, cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, web development, etc.-hence, allowing programmers to pursue a career with their interests. According to a survey, companies are more interested in investing in the IT industry as there's soaring demand for skilled and efficient programmers. Therefore, this field holds much more potential compared to any other occupation, so an undergraduate degree in computer programming with the necessary skills is more likely to bring success.

To sum up, choosing computer programming as my major has been a crucial decision; it has transformed my life completely. Along with getting myself equipped with technical skills, it also provides the scope to contribute to the world. In this world of code, I am grateful to have such diverse opportunities and to explore my passion for innovation. Each code I write shows my passion and purpose to work for the betterment of humanity and the prosperity of my country.
