Rockstar has established itself with a history of groundbreaking games that revolutionize the gaming experience and has become one of the most recognizable and significant game developers in this age. Today we will delve into the journey of rockstar games and how it has engraved its name into every gamer out there.

Grand Theft Auto: Revolutionizing the open world genre

Rockstar games may not have invented open world games but it is safe to say they have mastered the genre. It is impossible to talk about rockstar games without mentioning how influential  the GTA series has been. The series is best known for its massive contribution to the open world genre with gripping narratives set in a highly interactive large scale environment with unprecedented level of immersion and realism. The series has reached its peak with GTA V which still holds the title of being of the best games there is with over 190 million copies sold. The hyped anticipation surrounding the game’s release was unlike almost anything we have ever seen before and rockstar did not fail to deliver it. The single player campaign was significant to any rockstar fan and it was unlike anything we have ever played but it was the online aspect of the game that grabbed our attention and stayed in our hearts for years to come.The dynamic nature of Grand Theft Online has giving us almost limitless opportunities as to what we can do be it racing to skydiving it had endless potential and rockstar did just that to utilize it. This single thing had an immense effect on the industry. Prior to GTA online's success on the online platform multiple companies took notice and this caused a massive surge towards online gaming but no one came even close to what rockstar has achieved.

It was safe to assume that rockstar has reached its peak and has engraved its name on the panels of history but in 2018 all hell let loose as rockstar published another title named Red Dead Redemption 2. The story of Arthur Morgan was like any other narrative I have ever seen in a game and has captured the hearts and minds of players worldwide. You're greeted with stunning visuals and rich landscapes that begs to be explored. From snowy mountains to barren deserts RDR 2 has it all. There are no right words to describe how phenomenal this game is and how the story of Arthur Morgan has affected lives.Creating a character that is stoic and intimidating and then using him as a vessel to explore things like love, family and responsibility is truly one of the wonders of rockstar. In the face of death even a man like Arthur is afraid but still he believed in love. The story revolves around the idea of a violent man turning good. It is astonishing how a fictional man has inspired and taught me so much. He has helped me believe that any man can change. Knowing how much time he has left made him see what really matters. This made him make sure the remaining members get out alive and can live a good life and help strangers find a meaning in their lives. With the character of Arthur Morgan, Rockstar has perfected gaming as a whole and has set the standards of modern gaming. Arthur Morgan is truly the greatest fictional character there is.
