The Unsung Heroes of Cricket

Cricket is known as a gentleman’s game. But this gentleman’s game is not always about the players who put their mind-blowing performance on the field. There are many unknown and unsung heroes who work relentlessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of a cricket match. The batters and bowlers are the highlight on the field, but there is a whole team to make a game of cricket successful. For instance, the ground staff, umpires, coaches and organizers who all play a part in this game.
Not to mention, there is a team of administrators and organizers behind every successful game who ensures that all the practical operations are taken care of. They schedule matches, manage the sale of tickets and coordinate broadcasting arrangements. But most of the time their efforts go unseen. However, without their efforts, planning and execution, the enjoyment of cricket would not be possible.
In addition to the groups mentioned above, there are other heroes who gives their best from their respective fields to the cricket. These include broadcasters, journalists, physiotherapists, medical emergency units. Each of them plays a significant role in the game of cricket.
As cricket enthusiasts, it is our duty to give these unsung heroes their recognition, which they deserve. Their contribution may or may not be seen on the field always, without their help cricket could not have thrived at its finest as a sport and enjoyed all over the world.
